I'm sick.. I'm hoping that when I have been on the antibiotics for 24 hours (tomorrow) that I will feel better. This is a big hope because tomorrow is play group, and the kid(s) are complaining that they are bored. Cohen says that all I have been doing is "big people things" and not playing with him... poor kid.. well here is looking to tomorrow and hoping for the best.

This is less of a "game" and more of chaos with a ball and kids in uniform on a wet rainy field. Cohen's team = 0 the other team= approximately 5 (they don't keep score and they "celebrate" all the players after. It was fun.. most of the time the kids just either ran away from the ball, or behind the ball. It would have been more fun to watch had Kennedy not been feeling yucky, or if it hadn't been cold and raining... I'm really looking forward to the next game!

So I have decided I am not good at blogging.. whats that I hear? The silence of shock? I know what your thinking... "You mean blogging once every six months is not a good blog?"

Ok, so I have decided to rectify this situation. I will try to blog every other day (which will probably equal once a week.. but we will work on it... baby steps) I will try and post a picture too, but this is not a promise. Now I am not promising insightful wisdom here, just thoughts... my inane crazy off the track train of thought that equals me.

So the other day I am trying to work, Kennedy is eating in her chair, and Cohen asks me to open a pudding for him, which he proceeds to take 2 bites of and then decided he would share.. this is what ensued..
Also note the macaroni in her hair in the last picture..I let them store their snacks for later...

And this is for those who think I am purposefully keeping Kennedy's hair short so she looks like Annie Kennedy's hair wet and brushed out... Kennedy's hair when it is dry...

We got to go back to California for Thanksgiving. It was a lot of fun and very busy. We didn't get to do everything we had wanted, nor see everyone we wanted to see, or feel like we got to spend enough time with everyone, but it was fun nonetheless...

Birthday/Anniversary

Well I suppose it is time to update the blog.. For my birthday and our anniversary John and I hit up all the big rides at Disneyworld. We started at Animal Kingdom on the Everest ride. We then did Dinosaur and Primeval Whirl. The last ride we did at Animal Kingdom was Kali River Rapids. From Animal Kingdom we dropped our car off at Epcot and had lunch in Mexico. We took the bus to Hollywood Studios where we rode on Tower of Terror then Rockin' Roller coaster. After that we watched Lights, Motor, Action (great show) and then did the Narnia walk through and then rode on Tower of Terror again. From there we headed back to Epcot and walked around the world and ate dinner in Japan where we had some yummy sushi and they gave us a piece of cake and sang happy birthday! We rode on the Test track and the Mission to Mars ride. There was so much more to see and can't wait till we get a pass but this was a fun birthday! Really enjoyed it!

I just think this is the funniest and cutest thing ever!! Kennedy has two little friends, one here in Florida, Joseph whose birthday is 2 days before Kennedy's and little Macie, whose birthday is 10 days before Kennedy.. and here are their pictures... and a cute one of Kennedy...

You can't tell that Joseph has the same curly red hair as Kennedy and Macie.....!!! I adore Kennedy's little twinners... they are all just as cute as my little sweetie!

Well we found a house, it fits us nicely, a nice big back yard a bedroom for each of the kids, and good colors and a nice neighborhood... we also live 40 minutes from this beach... Yay for beautiful beaches and fun in the sun...

So here is what is going on with the Michael Family.... we have lost the charger to our camera and can't find a replacement... so that is why there is no pictures, we will find it soon though..

We are moving to Florida, John is already there and working and I will be heading toward that direction on the 29th of June.. spending a couple of days in Utah before flying out of Denver to Orlando which is the city we will be living in, so if anyone would like to visit disneyworld and wants to stay with us please let us know!!! Kennedy is getting big, she has four teeth and says momma for definite, although she uses it for some other things too, she has these great little smiles, red curly hair that grows in a fro and is crawling all over the place and pulling her self up.. too busy!! much busier and demanding baby than cohen ever was. she is definitely a girl and definitely a leo and definitely a red head.. she knows what she wants and if she isn't satisfied than she will let you know! cohen is doing well, very into guns and swords and anything that can be used with them... we are working on being a little less violent in games :) not everything needs to be a gun... well at least that is what momma thinks.. cohen will definitely disagree, and he is in the I want stage. Everything that comes on T.V. or we pass in the store, "Momma I want one of those". Also sadly the number of "Mom" vs "Momma" has become pretty equal. He is phasing out the little boy momma into the big boy mom. I am bummed about that, isn't he supposed to stay my little boy forever?!

On February 2, Cohen turned 4 years old. he had a family birthday party and he loved it.. he got the cake he wanted (chocolate with chocolate frosting, lots of sprinkles and strawberries on top!) he got the dinner he wanted (Chinese food consisting of chow mien, sweet and sour chicken, Teriyaki chicken, rice, and some extras of pot stickers and some sweet and sour turkey balls) It was funny explaining to people that I was picking up and making Chinese food for my 4 y.o. son's birthday.... but he loves Chinese food...

New Years Eve we went to lunch with a bunch of Johns Co-workers and some of their friends, we were all going to hang and do a little dancing and then possibly John and I were going to go play games and Matt and Virginia's house, but our babysitter (grammy) ended up having to take Aunt Camee to the hospital for her gallbladder so the night was cut short... but we had fun at dinner.. here are some pictures from that.

So Christmas was majorly split-up in to 4 chunks We did Christmas eve day with Kim (Johns mom) where we opened presents there... then we had Christmas Eve dinner with my side of the family, Papa, Grandma Pam, Aunt Janelle, Danette, Jamie, Jaelyn, Eric, and Kim, my mom, my dad, Camee, Chad, Sara, and Joe. Jimmy, Hannah, and Jenny were there too. We had Chinese food and then afterwards we came back to our Condo where we opened presents with Jimmy, Hannah, and Jenny. In the morning we opened presents and got the presents from under the tree that Santa brought, after that we went to my parents house and opened some presents there.. it was a lot of fun.

Halloween

Well, I know I'm a little behind, but I finally am putting up some Halloween pictures! Cohen was an astronaut, for 6 months he wanted to be an astronaut, he specifically asked to be a green astronaut, but we figured silver would be okay... and it was, he loved his costume. I was surprised that he stuck with his costume decision for six months, I kept waiting for him to change his mind like most 3 year-olds would do, but no....
Kennedy was a lady-bug thanks to Ty and Trista and their cute gift!! I figured it was easy and a nice way for her to keep warm!
We went to our ward/stake Halloween carnival and trunk r' treat.. Cohen loved it and had lots of fun!

Anniversary/Birthday

John and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary, Yay, that is about 5 x longer than anyone in Hollywood :P, and it still only feels like we have only been together for a short time! We went to 33 Steaks, Booz, and Jazz.. it was delicious, I got a yummy steak with crab meat and this yummy sauce. John got a pepper steak, it was so good! So here is to another 55 or more years!

I had my birthday today, 26... just a note, it was fun pizza and cake with the family!

Well, Kennedy is now almost 2 months old, she is cooing and smiling and has the cutest little dimple. Cohen loves her, and is protective but definitely has his jealousy/annoyed moments. When she cries in the car he pulls the sun shade all the way down so that he doesn't have to look at her crying... The other day she was crying and he said " I think she wants to go back in your belly....", He also tells people to put her down when he wants them to pay attention to him.

I would post some new pictures, but John and I need to get a new camera, cohen decided it would be fun to pretend the camera was a boat, needless to say camera's don't float, and don't do well in a sink full of water! So it may be a little while before there are updated pictures. Hopefully we will be able to steal some from my mom's camera.

It is so interesting how each little one is so different, Cohen gets in the car and is instantly relaxed, Kennedy, not so much... she won't be as good of a traveler as Cohen. But both of our kids are night time kids, they are not much for the sleeping.

Cohen is starting to assert his independence, I told him the other day that if he didn't do something he was going to go in time out. He looked and me and said "That's crazy talk." Nice, it is so hard not to laugh when he is trying to be serious and is not listening, he storms about the house in a very comical way to try and be defiant, very overly dramatic stomping with his arms cross, saying "I'm going to go away..." The things he says keeps everyone around here in stitches. His vocabulary is large for a little one of his age, and is constantly saying things that you have to question where he learned it.. most of the time he will say he learned it all by himself...

Well John's bank, Wachovia, was bought by Well's Fargo, so we will see how it goes we are crossing our fingers that everying either stays the same or gets better, as we know you will know.

Kennedy Braelyn Michael

Well, we had baby Kennedy on August 20th at 9:06 am. She weighed 6.7 lbs and was 19 inches long.

Late on the 19th I started feeling contractions that kept waking me up, although I didn't realize that was what kept waking me up until about 11:00. I switched from side to side seeing if they would stop. When they didn't I got up and just sat seeing if they would stop then, when they didn't I started timing them at 12:55, they were from 4 to 6 minutes apart (watching my clock, not all that closely), finally at 2:00 I woke John up and told him that I was having contractions, pretty consistently.
Luckily the night before my mom had Cohen and he had asked to have a "slumber party" over at Grammy's house... We had said okay and it worked out great and took out the step of waking up Cohen and taking him over to Grammy's house because he was already there.

When I woke John up he asked how far apart they were, I told him every 4 to 6 minutes. He said oh we have a couple of hours before something starts happening. I told him that I just wanted to make sure this was the real thing and make sure everything was progressing okay, and that with the second baby things can move very quickly. So he dragged himself out of bed and kept joking that they were just going to send us home.

When we got to the hospital I was checked, still not much was going on but the contractions were there and consistent, they said they would observe me for an hour and then decide if I should go back home for a while or not. When the hour was up, I was still having contraction, but wasn't any farther along than I was the first time, but the nurse said she felt some "knobby things", not normal for the head, she had the charge nurse come in and see if she felt the same thing, and she did. Luckily Dr. Mazen was already there as one of his other patient's had just had a baby, he checked and felt the same thing and decided they needed to do an ultrasound. With a quick look, the head was in my ribs and the feet were down where the head needed to be.
I had a couple more good contractions and Dr. Mazen decided I should stay there to see if the contractions would stop on their own to see if they could maybe turn her around, although when he felt her, he didn't think she would do that very easily. So they checked me into a room to decide what I needed to do.

At about 7:30, when my contractions hadn't stopped they decided that I would need a C-section as the baby was in the worst breech position and if I did start to really get moving it could be dangerous to the baby, and her feet could get stuck. So bummed as I was about having a C-section, that was what happened.

They gave me some medicine to stop the contractions and started to get me ready for the surgery.

The surgery went very quickly, I believe it was about 11 minutes from start to finish. Very quick. She came out by the feet and upside-down. They were still getting Kennedy ready to come over to me when they were closing the incision.

So that is the story of Baby Kennedy..
Cohen loves her, and LOVES to hold her, there are a few signs that he notices the time difference that Momma gets with him, between Kennedy and the surgery healing, so hopefully as soon as I'm better, I'll get to work on that a little bit more.
